SHOALS NORTH ALABAMA AUTO AUCTION ARBITRATION POLICY

  • Arbitration period for in lane purchases ends 1 hour after the purchase of the vehicle. Drive your purchases and Ifs within this period. Arbitration for Simulcast purchases ends at 2:00 PM on the day following the sale.

  • To be eligible for arbitration, vehicle must have ONE defect in engine cooling system or internal parts of motor, transmission, transfer case or rear end that will require $600.00 or more in repairs.

  • Any vehicle sold for $3000.00 or less, vehicles in excess of 20 years old and vehicles with over 200,000 miles are sold as-is.

  • No arbitration on defects that are inherent to the model.

  • Frame damage, (including structural corrosion), previous frame damage, any salvage history, odometer discrepancy, flood, previous Canadian or government use must be announced by the seller (7 Day Arbitration period on these items).

  • Odometer exemption will follow the U.S. Department of Transportation’s policy on odometer disclosure effective January 1, 2021.

  • All diesels and EVs are AS-IS unless the seller gives a “Seller Guarantee”. If a “Seller Guarantee” is given, the arbitration is between the buyer and seller and is at the Seller’s discretion, not Shoals North Alabama Auto Auction.

  • All vehicles sold off the block are AS-IS.

  • Seller has 30 days to produce title. Buyers must give notice of 2 business days of their intent to return for no title and vehicle must be returned in the same condition it was sold with no more than 200 additional miles on the odometer.
